Meet in the lobby at Wakeup Copenhagen Borgergade.

Walk into the city together, through Kongens Nytorv and down Stroget, with a few stops for stories along the way.

Arrive at Tivoli's main entrance on Vesterbrogade, across from the City Hall Square.

Guided walk through the gardens with a local Tabler.

Free time in the gardens. Rides are covered by your Turpas, and lunch is up to you.

The tour ends inside Tivoli. Your ticket stays valid, so stay on if you like.
Tivoli Gardens opened in 1843 and is the second oldest amusement park still running anywhere. It is easy to file it under "somewhere you take the children", and that is a mistake. Tivoli is a garden and a concert venue at least as much as it is a funfair. Danes come for the planting, the lakes and the lanterns, for dinner, and for the open-air stage. Hans Christian Andersen was a regular, and Walt Disney is said to have taken ideas home from it when he was planning Disneyland.
There are rides if you want them, including Rutschebanen from 1914, one of the oldest wooden roller coasters in the world still operating, and still run with a brakeman riding along in the train. There is also every reason to spend the whole visit walking the gardens with a coffee. Both count as doing Tivoli properly.
Your guide is a local Tabler who knows the place, so you get the version of the gardens a Copenhagener would show you rather than the one in the guidebook. We walk in from the hotel through the old town on the way, so the route there is part of the tour.
14 May is a Friday, and in the summer season Friday evenings in Tivoli usually mean Fredagsrock, a concert on the open-air stage that is included in the entrance. Your ticket is valid all day, so you can go back in the evening if the Euromeeting programme leaves you room.
What it costs: Tivoli entrance plus a Turpas, the pass that covers the rides. At current prices that is about €65 per adult, or roughly DKK 470, which is what you will actually pay at the gate. Tivoli has not published its 2027 prices yet. This is not a package price and we do not collect it with your booking.
Lunch and drinks are paid separately. There is a wide choice of places to eat inside the gardens at every price level, and everyone sorts out their own.
